North Central Railcorp’s goal is to acquire, operate or manage through “railroad service, maintenance & repair agreements” short line freight railroads, tourist railway operations, industrial plant switching railroads and industrial park switching operations.  NCR operates properties in a safe, customer oriented, community-minded and profitable manner.

Opportunities exist throughout the country for market-driven, safety oriented and well managed class three common carrier railroads. Approximately 47,500 route miles or 29% of the U.S. freight railroad system is made up of short line and regional railroads.
